Great time as always! I finally got the opportunity to make it for oyster night. That’s two dollars per oyster and they were not small ones either. Great atmosphere and the service was on point as always. Stop in and support.
We had an excellent fine dining experience. Everything was delicious, the best. The jazz singer/ musician made it a 5 star experience. We went on a Wednesday at 6 pm. There weren't many customers at yet but before we left the parking lot was getting full. I would definitely go again and hopefully soon!
The service was outstanding! The doorman/greeter/parking lot attendant was phenomenal. He basically walked us from our cars. He knew about our reservation. He walked us in. At the end of our meal, he walked us to our cars, held the doors open and even took pictures for us and with us. Inside, the staff was also great. A server, that wasn't even assigned to our table, paused what he was doing and sung Happy Birthday to my mother. They were all very sweet. High class. The service was definitely the highlight. The food was fine. I really liked the "Savoy" decor. I don't like the area and I never would have thought that such an outstanding place would be over there, but I'm totally glad we went. I think it's best to arrive at dinner time. At that time, there's a full menu and I hear that there's also live music.
Very nice Vibe. Was greeted in the parking lot. . Hostess seated us as soon as our table was ready. Our server approached us with water, explained the menu, took our drink order promptly. The atmosphere is inviting and clean and relaxing. The band was playing when we arrived and played extremely well. We were tapping our fingers and feet the entire time we were there. Jazz was the forte for the evening and they knew their craft. They were out of the scallops so my second choice was the linguine with chicken which was delicious…. My partner ordered the fish and chips with the loaded mash potatoes and it was delicious as well. I ordered a beer and it came with a very frosted mug . Over all my experience there was Great and I will spread the word and I will return
This was my first time at The Savoy the food was amazing, service was excellent and the DJ was on point! As we were leaving they were setting up for the live band. Next time we will plan to go during the live band(7pm).
This was our first time dining at Savoy, and overall, the experience was just okay. We had a 5:00 PM reservation for Mother’s Day and were seated promptly upon arrival. The greeting at the door was warm and welcoming, which we appreciated. The ambiance was pleasant, and the music selection was thoughtful—centered around mothers, which was a nice touch for the occasion. Admittedly, it brought up some emotions for me, as I lost my mother a few years ago, but I understand and appreciate the sentiment behind it. However, the service left something to be desired. After being seated, we waited quite a while before our server approached the table. She brought bread and took our drink orders, but it was some time before she returned to take our meal selections. That said, the food arrived fairly quickly once the order was placed, though it was warm rather than hot. My daughter ordered the stuffed salmon, which was advertised as being filled with crab. She felt there was no crab in her dish, though she did enjoy the overall flavor. My husband ordered the steak and was satisfied with his meal. I had the pasta with blackened salmon. It was okay, but the Alfredo sauce tasted like it came from a jar rather than being freshly made. We also placed a to-go order for chicken wings, which we expected to be whole wings, but were instead served wing dings—something we would have preferred to know in advance. Additionally, there were no complimentary refills for soda, which wasn’t communicated beforehand, and we were charged for each. My daughter ordered a slice of key lime pie to go, and we were surprised at how small the portion was, especially considering the $12.95 price tag. My husband and daughter are open to giving Savoy another try, but I remain unsure. While the atmosphere and some elements were enjoyable, the slow service and lack of clarity around menu items and pricing were disappointing. Also, automatically adding a 20% gratuity feels excessive when the service doesn't meet expectations.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience, then look no further. From the moment we pulled on the lot, the top tier service began with the parking lot attendant. The hostess pleasantly greeted us and had our table ready for our reservation. Then, our server, Gary, took time to go over the menu with us, assuring us that there wasn't a wrong selection. Our Calamari appetizer was delish. Our dinner selections were the Stuffed Salmon (Salmon Relleno) with whipped mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables and The New Zealand Lamb Chops with an add-on fried Lobster Tail. Our portions were actually more than we expected, and the flavors were perfect! We couldn't make up something wrong if we tried. Oh, and my husband says this was the best Old Fashion he's ever had. My drink was a Strawberry Lemon Drop and it did not disappoint. We'll definitely be back. I'm sharing these details because, had it been a terrible experience, I would've provided just as much info. Much continued success to Chef Melba and The Savoy family!!! P.s. they had live music too, great atmosphere!!
Savoy Restaurant was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music and the great drinks. The chef made sure we were well taken care of and it was apparent that she truly cares about providing the utmost service. I will definitely be back!
